Our Story: BearWear began with an idea from my husband, Ron—aptly nicknamed “Bear”—in 2001, when very few brands served the bear community. After exploring several concepts, we created our signaturebear paw, a design unique to our brand, and incorporated
it into several products. We launched with a small production run and four T-shirt designs at Toronto Pride in the summer of 2002, where we sold out. That summer, we expanded nto more designs, caps, hoodies, and LGBTQ+ merchandise while touring Pride events across Ontario. Our products sold well because their quality and pricing surpassed many competitors, supported by our parent company and manufacturer, TMS Promotional Wear. We later launched a website and added e-commerce. As summer touring became costly and impractical, BearWear shifted to sales through our showroom near Orillia, Ontario, and online.

When COVID-19 forced the
showroom to close for two years, we moved exclusively to online sales. In 2023, we sold TMS Promotional Wear to another company, but we retained BearWear and relocated to Orillia.
Today, our line includes humorous T-shirts, caps, and otherfun products for
everyone. BearWear remains privately owned and operated, and I run the company myself. Designing products is a creative outlet I truly enjoy. I also
work as a counsellor at a homeless shelter in Orillia, while Ron works for a barbecue company in Barrie, Ontario. NOTE: Not all items are stock items. Many items are made to order as needed with our "on demand" in house print machines. We are always happy to accommodate any custom needs too.  Just ask. Please allow 1 - 2 weeks for production before shipping. Shipping usually takes 5-8 working days by Canada post anywhere in Canada. 5 - 15 working days from our location to anywhere in the USA. More outside North America.
